Delete your account
You can delete your The Pet Care Card account, and all the data we hold for it, at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open The Pet Care Card and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This is immediate and permanent.
Or request deletion by email
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We action deletion requests promptly, within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and login details.
- All your pet records: profiles, vaccinations, worming, flea and tick, medications, weight, documents, expenses and insurance details.
- All photos and created images backed up to our servers, and the copy stored on the device you delete from.
- Your credit balance and billing record.
Deletion cannot be undone, so consider exporting a PDF care sheet from the app first if you want to keep a copy.
About subscriptions
Deleting your account cancels any active subscription we bill directly. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, also cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, as those are managed by Apple or Google.
What we may retain
We may keep a minimal record of completed transactions where we are required to by law (for example, tax and financial records). This is not used to identify you in the app and is held only as long as the law requires.
